How did you get into Interior design?

I finally realized my passion whilst building my family home and all fell into place and I literally dove in and started my own business after the completion of my studies and have never looked back – loving every challenge that awaits me around every corner!

What is your favourite part of your job?

To create a relationship of trust with each client and by realizing their vision – always with a point of difference that “blows them away”.

How would you describe your style?

Bespoke and Personal – My Style reflects the Soul of the client – so can vary but in essence will be very textural and warm whether full of colour or monochromatic – depending on the brief.

What is your favourite Boyac product?

de le Cuona – pulls at my African heartstrings as well as Thibaut – love anything North American!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

As a recognized Brisbane designer who delivers on quality of service and implementation and that affords both client and designer equal levels of trust of respect.

Do you have any advice for people starting out in the industry?

There is NOTHING glamorous about this industry. You know that when it takes 2 days to recover from styling a home! It takes hard work, tenacity and nerves of steel! Honesty and authenticity are values that are imperative to survive as well as being true to yourself so that you are true to your clients. They are your most important commodity – so cherish them and choose wisely!
