Friday Files by: BOYAC – Declercq Passementiers

For the first Friday Files of 2014 we are profiling French passementerie house Declercq Passementiers.

Tiebacks and Trimming2

Declercq Passementiers’ story began in 1852 with a very small trimmings factory located on rue Quincampoix in the heart of Paris. Generations of craftspeople have handed down their expertise and techniques, creating the refined traditions of a trade that has become rare.

Used creatively by the greatest interior designers, trimmings are the perfect partner to decorating fabrics. Trimmings enhance and enrich, bringing contrast or compliment to a dominant colour while adding delicate refinement. From classic to contemporary-all styles are represented in Declercq Passementiers’ collections.
