FRIDAY FILES – ECO FRIENDLY WALLCOVERINGS

FRIDAY FILES – ECO FRIENDLY WALLCOVERINGS

Grasscloth is a unique and stunning decorative wallcovering that has grown in popularity amongst eco-conscious discerning designers. For that fresh, Bahamas-style, holiday vibe this wallcovering has your interiors covered.

HOW IT’S MADE:

Natural Fibres are carefully selected, then dyed in a variety of colours. These freshly dyed fibres are sun-dried to be loomed by skilled artisans.

The mosaic of natural plants is handcrafted allowing each inch of the wallcovering a distinctive character.

Grasscloth wallpaper consists of natural woven grasses like raffia, leaves, paper weave, hemp, jute, arrowroot, bamboo, reeds and seagrass.

These natural fibres are then adhered with chemical-free paper transforming the fibres into durable wallcoverings.

SUSTAINABILITY:

All of the materials used to manufacture grasscloth wallpapers are renewable. The grasses are cultivated on plantations that do not require pesticides or fertilisers. The final product is biodegradable.

THE LOOK:

The result is a fresh, natural and refined look for any interior space.
