Friday Files

This week on Friday Files we reveal the intricate and artisanal production methods behind de Le Cuona’s gorgeous fabrics. By harnessing the experience and knowledge of master artisans and the use of ancient and sometimes simple techniques, founder Bernie de Le Cuona strives to create fabrics that reflect her vision of harmony and individuality.

One design that has become synonymous with de Le Cuona is paisley. Both delicate and refined this woven cloth has never been more beautiful or in vogue. The delicate paisleys are either coloured traditionally or are surprisingly contemporary, making them easily incorporated into any room setting. The paisleys afford their beautiful drape thanks to the time worn technique of hand washing the fine woven wool which also helps achieve the depth of colour and the rich softness.
