04 Apr Friday Files by: BOYAC – Resort by Thibaut
This week on Friday Files we look at the limited edition Thibaut Resort Collection. A sophisticated take on eclectic nostalgia and contemporary palettes featuring in this months issue of House and Garden.
Chic chinoiserie to fun novelties and fashionable geometrics… Be prepared for surprise and delight served up in contemporary palettes in the new Thibaut Resort release from Boyac.
Being hailed as nostalgic and bold, the Resort Collection is a range of wallpapers and printed and woven fabrics that celebrates fresh colours and evocative prints.
Yellow, Turquoise, Aqua, Pink, Grey, Blue, Tangerine and Lime and are just some of the shades that give this collection its contemporary edge, while patterns range from graphic statements to handprinted looks of ceramic art designs.
There is a strong water theme from the bold-yet-fanciful Cozumel fish motif to the imperfect abstract waves of Shore Thing and quirky delight of Resort Frogs. While the reminiscent beauty of patterned tiles emerge in Sun Garden, Sun Garden Embroidery, Bungalow, Mara Embroidery and Soleil.
Iconic designs from periods and places are found in the chinoiserie design of South Sea, the art deco like themes of Downing Gate, Montserrat and Twisted Chain and leopard- inspired Tanzania. While the textural quality of Outer Banks and traced and graphic florals of Nikko, Regina and Nassau add another layer to the collection.
