Friday Files – FERMOIE – New brand in BOYAC

Fermoie is a new addition to the BOYAC collection. This British producer of premium linens and cottons has a beautiful choice of unique colours and patterns. Their fabrics are printed traditionally in a factory in Lancashire, and designed in house at the studio in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Fermoie textiles are available in 140 colourways, organized in families of Reds, Yellows, Greens, Blues and Neutrals, with a selection of hand drawn patterns. Various herringbone, stripe and chevron prints are available in pure cotton and 100% linen, and are thus suitable for both drapery and upholstery.

Founded by two industry leaders, Tom Helme and Martin Ephson (previously – creators of well-established Farrow&Ball), Fermoie provides subtle and charming woven textiles filled with distinctive quality and an elegant, British feel.

In words of its co-founder, Tom Helme:

“Fermoie’s aim is to capture the life, light and enjoyment of old woven textiles. We print traditionally with a light touch using pigments creating a subtle impression but with the depth of a woven fabric”
