FRIDAY FILES – Métaphores In The Driver’s Seat

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Renault R5, the French designer Pierre Gonalons partners with Métaphores to give the legendary model a fresh twist, bringing French craftsmanship to this gem of an automobile!

The designer tapped Métaphores for its pop and contemporary creations, such as the Féline alpaca wool fabric for the bucket seats and the bench seat, and its horse hair-weave wrap know-how for the dashboard. Car interior design and decorative arts seamlessly unite in unexpected materials and colours.

This anniversary model had its world premiere in the courtyard of the Hôtel de Camondo on July 4th. Bonne route to the R5 and Métaphores!
