The Colony 2017 Fall Collection represents nine new fabric designs. Encompassing a large of range design and texture from a traditional floral lampas to a contemporary and amazingly soft wool mohair velvet .
The collection is completed by a linen and wool damask, embossed velvets in wool mohair and two damask companions of the floral lampas.
The magnificent garden of Ninfa, near Rome, includes the ruins of the ancient settlement of Ninfa, whose name seems to derive from a classical era nymphaeum, a temple dedicated to nymphs. This strie lampas is a tribute to the floral gardens around the world and it has a traditional but yet fresh colour combination. It is available in 7 colours and is suitable for medium to heavy duty upholstery and drapery.
Rocca Calascio is a fortress from the Middle Ages nestled in the mountains of Abruzzo, a region with the most important livestock transhumance route of Italy and production of wool since more than 6 centuries. This wool sateen is super soft and comes in 14 melange colours. It is suitable for drapery use and medium duty upholstery projects. Rocca Calascio is also reversible and flame retardant..
Santo Stefano di Sessanio was founded in AD 1239. It was under the Medici political and economical control because of the importance of its livestock, around 100,000 sheep. Lana carfagna, the local quality of wool was exported throughout Europe for centuries.
This linen and wool damask is available in 8 colours and can be perfectly coordinated with Rocca Calascio. It is suitable for drapery use and light duty upholstery projects. Santo Stefano is also reversible and flame retardant.
Antonio Canova was an italian sculptor, often regarded as the greatest of the Neoclassical artists. Canova mohair velvet is inspired by Canova’s works as it is a velvet both soft and durable, like Canova’s masterpieces because he was able to manipulate a hard material like marble to appear soft and smooth. This mohair velvet is available in 14 contemporary colours, is suitable for heavy duty upholstery projects and is flameproof.
