19 Mar FRIDAY FILES – New Colony Designs
We are thrilled to present four new gorgeous designs by Colony Fabrics.
This 2021 Spring Collection invites us on a journey to India and Italy by way of Greek and Egyptian mythology. Reaching high Martindale rubs, Colony Fabrics offer us once again stunning fabrics suitable for medium to heavy duty upholstery in both public and private settings.
Ladakh is a beautiful soft bouclé, ideal for medium to heavy duty upholstery. Taking its name from one of the mountain regions in India, the bouclé is reminiscent of the astrakhan fur and reaches 60,000 martindale rubs. Suitable for both residential and commercial applications, it comes in thirteen colours that can easily coordinate with other fabrics from the Colony range such as Ninfee or Marly.
Ninfee is a colourful cut-uncut jacquard velvet featuring water lilies. The name originates by the nymphs of Greek and Latin mythology. The ancient Egyptians revered the Nile water lilies, which were known as lotuses. The lotus motif is a frequent feature in temple column architecture. This aquatic pattern jacquard velvet is woven in complex four chains looms. The relief effect is created by different methods of weaving the linen velvet, cut and uncut. The fabric is particularly suitable for heavy duty upholstery and is available in five colourways.
