FRIDAY FILES – PARTNER PROFILE – Greenfield & Hunter, Adelaide

In this week’s Friday Files, we interview our South Australian partner, Sonia of Greenfield & Hunter. Sonia and her team are our experts in BOYAC fabric and wallpapers for Adelaide and beyond.

What inspired you to work in the industry?

I had always had an interest in decorating from a very young age.  Once my children had both started school I was accepted to study interior decorating at TAFE  Marleston as a mature age student and once completed, I worked for a decorating company for a couple of years.

How long has Greenfields been established?

It was establishedr 30 years ago.

Tell us about you; how did you get into this business?

While I studied, I worked for the previous owners as a sales rep.  The then owners of Greenfield wanted to retire and sell the business.

I saw the opportunity as a great way to still be involved in the industry from a more technical sales and distribution perspective.   I purchased the business almost 13 years ago.  Joanne has been with me for 2 years now as our showroom manager,  she is highly organised and has extensive product knowledge.

What are your three favourite BOYAC products?

Iksel, de Le Cuona & Thibaut.

What is on-trend at the moment?

Clients are looking for more organic and natural products; with less structure and a free-flowing feel.

Barbara Osorio fabrics from Portugal are becoming more popular with our clients.
