Friday Files – Trove: Innovative and Sustainable Wallpaper

Ode To Eau collection was chosen for the Good Design Award 2017

New York based company Trove keeps their collection fresh, contemporary and innovative. What sets them apart is their aspiration to merge art, design and craft.

With non-traditional applications and the use of eco-friendly materials, Trove’s designs consider patterns from architectural elements and work them in with a multi-media approach to art. They strive to create a product that is as harmless and least impactful to the environment. This has seen them win several awards including 5 Good Design awards, 2 Editor’s choice Awards for ICFF, and 2 Architectural Products Product Innovation Award.

Their wallpapers are printed on REDEUX, an eco-friendly type II commercial grade wallcovering. REDEUX contains over 31% post-consumer recycled materials and is made with 100% water based inks and adhesive systems, and is PVC and POA free.

DESIGN ON A DIME – Danielle Colding Design chose Macondo pattern for the Housing Works’ interior design benefit

“We seek to create wallpaper that breaks all the rules by reimagining the current language of wallpaper from repetitive graphic patterns to organic imagery with less repeat and more of the random. Depth and perspective replace geometry and line.”

– Jee Levin and Randall Buck, founders of Trove.
