Most interesting part of your job?
Being part of a client’s journey in transforming their homes. Love the process of all the elements falling into place.
It’s always a thrill to see my crazy creative process become a tangible and beautiful space.
When did you first become interested in design as a career?
I studied Theatre Design at College and have always had a passion for art and decorating. I became interested as soon as I discovered that you could make a career out doing what I loved…about 12 years of age. Ask my mother she had to endure the remodelling, redecorating continually.
Who/what would you consider your biggest design inspirations at the moment?
I am heavily influenced by Meg Braff, Tom Scheerer and of course Ralph Lauren
What has been your greatest achievement in your career?
3 Magazine covers so far!! I am always humbled by feedback I receive from the general public and how well received my work is (my clients happiness and the looks on their faces are my biggest achievements).
Also moving the business inner city to Newstead was a huge undertaking and one we have never regretted.
Where do you plan to take your career from here?
Lots of big things in the pipeline. We are always exploring new avenues and have an opportunity to consult on a Movie project (shhh)
