FRIDAY FILES – Iksel New Collection – Scenic Decors Part 2

RENAISSANCE HERBIER, VIEW OF VENICE & ART DECO FERN

Our Iksel Renaissance Herbier,  published in Veranda Magazine’s article: “Miles Redd’s Magical Connecticut Home”. Photo: Douglas Friedman.

Our journey through time and cultures with IKSEL continues with Part 2. Showcased below are three new IKSEL stories, their inspiration and design details:

RENAISSANCE HERBIER

This is an Italian Renaissance Herbier of the early 16th century. Repainted in the Iksel studio.

The 36 different plants received a faux parchment background and a frame before being assembled to create this scenic decor.

VIEW OF VENICE

This bird’s-eye View of Venice circa 1450 depicts the city at the height of its power.

Drawn by three artists from high towers, their drawings then having been engraved, this vista includes each and every building in the city.

The allegories of the winds and Neptune in front of Saint Mark’s Square are here to remind us that the might of the Venetian fleet was at the time unchallenged, even by the Turks.

This decor is available in 5 standard sizes, in the original Sepia Tones colorway.

ART DECO FERN

Art Deco Fern col. Chamois

Inspired by René Lalique 1920s chiselled glassware, these giant fern leaves are quintessentially Art Deco.

This immersive decor conveys a great sense of calm, and is available in a soft and light colour palette of 8 different standard colours.

Art Deco Fern colour: SeaWeed.

Art Deco Fern colour: Sea Foam.

Art Deco Fern is available in 8 colour options as pictured below.

Stay tuned for part 3 of this IKSEL showcase, next week.
